Speaking of having no clue, most PETA members are vegan and do not wear leather or consume/use any animal products.

There is a HUGE difference between capturing video/photos and criminal activities. Those activists who choose to disrupt business by utilizing vandalism or other means deserve to be prosecuted. Those who are simply shooting video and showing the realities inside processing plants should hardly be treated as criminals.

With all the issues in our country today, THIS is how our legislators choose to spend their time? Nothing like trying to hide the truth from people about how some of these plants operate.

"Branstad's goal was to choose Supreme Court justices, from the available slate of nine candidates, who are most likely to faithfully interpret the laws and constitution and respect the separation of powers," Albrecht said.

Isn't that what the last three judges did? Worked out well for them.......

This just further proves my point. WE, the taxpayers are footing the bill. You brought up prisons. Billions are made every year by contractors building/expanding/remodeling prisons. The vendors who sell clothing/food/supplies/weapons/etc to the prisons are all profiting. It is an endless money trail that ends with the taxpayers footing the bill.

There are a lot of people who make a fortune from the war on drugs. It costs us as taxpayers, but all the police officers/DEA/etc who get paid to enforce it have jobs because of it. Lawyers make money defending and prosecuting those who have been arrested. Vendors who sell law enforcement special tools/weapons/swat gear/etc all make plenty of money from it. There are plenty of people who profit from the war on drugs and that is(IMO) a big reason why it remains illegal.

So....If I murder someone just to prove how easy it is, it's ok? Breaking the law just to prove it can be done does not change the fact that he broke the law.

The problem is he broke the law, plain and simple. It is illegal to falsify information in order to obtain a prescription.

Hopefully the state of California will press charges against him for falsifying information in order to obtain a prescription. Very amusing how a 'lawmaker' can break the law and not be held accountable. How is this NOT unethical?
