I agree. This seems like a win-win situation. Why are there so many bad ratings?
I too went to school for 12 years without air conditioning and in high school iffy heat. Some radiators stayed cold while others almost caused suffocation. I believe the difference between then and now is that 40 years ago most homes didn't have a.c. The kids now are brought up from birth and this is the result of our progress. I don't tolerate the heat as well at 50 as I did at 10 when playing outside all day was never an issue.
We went to the concert Friday night and it was hot. Sweaty, sticky, yucky. Mostily I think it's just I'm getting older. The young ones didn't seem to mind at all. Wish I had taken time to ride a few things and have a fried Oreo.
Campbell Avenue and South Avenue both run north and south. I know this is nit-picky but someone is directionally challenged.
I heard on the radio that it was an overheated extension cord going to a charger. Wasn't a cigarette this time. The only fishy thing is that people don't have working smoke alarms.
I have sponsored a backpack for the last several years. When I heard the story of the children holding back for days they wouldn't have school, holidays etc. it broke my heart. My family didn't have a lot of money but we always had food. In the overall scheme of things $ 25.00 a month isn't much. Luckily I am employed.
It isn't just AT&T that does this. There was a law passed a few years ago and all telecommunications companies have to do third party billing. This happened to us and we called AT&T and had them put a third party block on all our phone lines. You must call them to do this.
Good Luck.
When our alarm goes off the company calls until they reach a contact to call the police. Or if they reach no one they call. Then it depends on how close a patrol car is to the business.
Telling them "Don't do it" is a wonderful thing. Then hormones take over and stop doesn't even come up. Too many misconceptions among kids as to how it really happens. A girl can get pregnant without complete contact. It only takes a loaded drop close enough. Yes tell them not to, but also how it happens.
The report on KY3 and the News-Leader both mentioned a name with regard to this property. I hope they didn't throw JQH thinking she is a viable prospect. Her track record running a low-rent motel into the ground should be proof enough. Please City Council go back to John Q. and work this out.
