I agree. This seems like a win-win situation. Why are there so many bad ratings?

KY3 : Steamy first day of school for several schools in Springfield MO | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Sprin

I too went to school for 12 years without air conditioning and in high school iffy heat. Some radiators stayed cold while others almost caused suffocation. I believe the difference between then and now is that 40 years ago most homes didn't have a.c. The kids now are brought up from birth and this is the result of our progress. I don't tolerate the heat as well at 50 as I did at 10 when playing outside all day was never an issue.

We went to the concert Friday night and it was hot. Sweaty, sticky, yucky. Mostily I think it's just I'm getting older. The young ones didn't seem to mind at all. Wish I had taken time to ride a few things and have a fried Oreo.

I heard on the radio that it was an overheated extension cord going to a charger. Wasn't a cigarette this time. The only fishy thing is that people don't have working smoke alarms.

I have sponsored a backpack for the last several years. When I heard the story of the children holding back for days they wouldn't have school, holidays etc. it broke my heart. My family didn't have a lot of money but we always had food. In the overall scheme of things $ 25.00 a month isn't much. Luckily I am employed.

It isn't just AT&T that does this. There was a law passed a few years ago and all telecommunications companies have to do third party billing. This happened to us and we called AT&T and had them put a third party block on all our phone lines. You must call them to do this. Good Luck.

Telling them "Don't do it" is a wonderful thing. Then hormones take over and stop doesn't even come up. Too many misconceptions among kids as to how it really happens. A girl can get pregnant without complete contact. It only takes a loaded drop close enough. Yes tell them not to, but also how it happens.

The report on KY3 and the News-Leader both mentioned a name with regard to this property. I hope they didn't throw JQH thinking she is a viable prospect. Her track record running a low-rent motel into the ground should be proof enough. Please City Council go back to John Q. and work this out.

Stockton is a very dangerous lake with only a litle wind. The wind we had over the weekend would not have been the time to launch any type of boat. My uncle and his friend capsized many years ago when there was little wind yet the lake was choppy. No hills to break it like there is at Table Rock. My hope and prayers to the family. If the Corps hasn't yet posted signs as to the dangers they should.

As I read elsewhere he is on the offender list because he was 17 and the girl was 13 so it was statutory rape, not forcible. Hormones out of control. IF he had married this girl later he would still be on the offender list. I'm not defending him for what he may or may not have done in this instance, just pointing out that there are different degrees of offense on the offender list.

As I said before, the neighborhood is no better or worse than others where schools are located. In my mind the greater concern with this building is whether they can repair it for it to be safe for children. The roof has leaked for the last 25 or so years. That is my only concern.

KY3 : Hospitals mull end or change in H1N1/no visiting children policies | KY3 News, Weather, Sports - Spr

Many years ago when I was young no one under 14 yrs. could go to the patient's room, except on Sunday as I recall, at St. Johns. I don't think this applied at Burge/Cox. Our family went to SJ as it was quieter and generally cleaner. It's not a bad idea to keep kids away. Hospitals are for healing. As to the child seeing the baby now she will see her more than she wants when they come home and she has to share her parents attention.
