So, you think the highly paid craftsman of the past weren't high school dropouts? My husband has a B.S. degree , but that being said, he does work with a lot of high school graduates and you know what, having a degree doesn't make you a highly skilled craftsman-training and working your ass off to learn your craft does and that is what Boeing workers do. I know. I raise my kids primarily on my own. I watch my husband get 4-6 hrs of sleep a night. He loves Boeing or he wouldn't do it either. It just more propaganda to say that because the employees expect to be compensated especially when Boeing profits are up 838% that they hate Boeing. This is a contract dispute, not a divorce.He sacrifices his ass off for them and we all sacrifice our family life for him. I've never seen workers who work longer hours, have more health care crisises then my husband has seen because of that sacrifice or make a more amazing product then Boeing aircraft. Don't degrade peoples skills because you think they are jobs for the uneducated. They work their asses off for every cent, every benefit they get. They are virtual slaves for that company.
Oh brother, so much drama. Poor, poor world-so dependant on Boeing management screwing its workers and them bending over and taking it like good little globalists. I don't want Boeing jobs sent overseas, so I want the world to fail and suffer. I do declare, I'm getting the vapors. I'm sure if my husband would just vote for the contract, the whole world would be better off because of it. Crocodile tears pouring forth. Get a life.
really. What I find interesting is that you feel the need to go online and complain when you don't seem to have any reason to care what about someone elses contract. Why are you surfing online for someone elses issue? What is lacking in your life that makes you so bitter that you begrudge them fighting for their rights?
That's b.s too. My husband worked his ass off and got retained all through the last layoffs because of it. People who called in sick all the time. Slackers didn't get retained.

And why has medical insurance gone through the roof? Because people who are manipulated by corporate propaganda have allowed it. That is exactly how Corporate America keeps making record profits while reaming it's workers and the public more and more. You get what you accept in life. If you aren't willing to fight to make the system better then expect the problem to get far worse.
And why do they get more then the "average worker" because they fight for what they deserve. If you don't, don't criticize those who look out for their own self interests. That is your problem, not theirs.
Yes, they only build those planes that keep Boeing management making millions, but don't worry, I'm sure Boeing management could build those planes if all the union workers walked out. Engineers down to mechanics. I say lets test your theory. Boeing doesn't need the workers. Hee hee...oh, it will be a sad Christmas in multimillionare Boeing upper management world. Now I know you will cry for their children going without a lexus for Xmas. Right?
And why do they have more then you, because they don't sit around and whine about their jobs without doing anything. They've fought for hwat they have. Stand up for yourself instead of criticizing people who do. They have what you want because fought for it.
