When she was recording wingpower, though, a lot of the pegasi hit over the 10 mark. I am sure there were some under it, much like Fluttershy was, but there were definitely plenty of ponies to balance those out.

I did, however, forget about foals/elderly ponies. Oops!

I was actually talking to someone about Ponyville's population the other day. I was thinking about how in Hurricane Fluttershy, all of the pegasi are required for the tornado. Rainbow Dash says that every pony should have ~10 wingpower, and they reach 800, though there are a few pegasi at home. So that makes just over 80 pegasi in Ponyville. And since it does not seem that any one kind of pony out-populates the others (with the exception of there being a million Colgates, of course), I estimated Ponyville's population somewhere around the 250 mark.

Zecora closed the book as she looked down at Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom in the bed. Most ponies had a hard time babysitting the fillies and trying to get them to bed, but Zecora thought her story might do the trick. She and the ponies said goodnight, and she turned off the light as she left the room.

"Y'all don't think she was serious, do you?" Apple Bloom questioned.

Scootaloo shrugged as Sweetie Belle said, "we could always stay up to find out!"

They nodded and started talking about how to spend their evening, and as smiles spread across the three fillies' faces as they planned yet another adventure, a shadow moved outside of the window, a smile now spreading across its face, too.

Well that wasn't a very nice thing for Celestia to do now, was it.

I think that is where the name Apple Cobbler comes from, the Apple family. :3
