Equestria Daily : A Statistical Analysis of the Population of Ponyville

When she was recording wingpower, though, a lot of the pegasi hit over the 10 mark. I am sure there were some under it, much like Fluttershy was, but there were definitely plenty of ponies to balance those out. I did, however, forget about foals/elderly ponies. Oops!

Equestria Daily : A Statistical Analysis of the Population of Ponyville

I was actually talking to someone about Ponyville's population the other day. I was thinking about how in Hurricane Fluttershy, all of the pegasi are required for the tornado. Rainbow Dash says that every pony should have ~10 wingpower, and they reach 800, though there are a few pegasi at home. So that makes just over 80 pegasi in Ponyville. And since it does not seem that any one kind of pony out-populates the others (with the exception of there being a million Colgates, of course), I estimated Ponyville's population somewhere around the 250 mark.

Equestria Daily : FLASH EVENT: Write a 300 Word Story!

"You may have heard this before It's not a tale or a lark But the truth of what happens If you stay up after dark If you don't be good fillies And get into your bed Nightmare Moon will come running And play tricks with your head She will swoop through the skies Finding those who are awake She won't do any harm But your dignity, she'll take See, Nightmare Moon is a trickster And while she won't hurt a fly She understands you need sleep So how she teaches you is sly If you stay up too late Once you finally rest You'll wake up with your mane And your tail in a mess Your mane might be green It might not even be there It could be made out of noodles You'll be in for a scare If you want it back to normal Whether that's curly or straight Just go to bed the next night And don't you dare stay up late!" Zecora closed the book as she looked down at Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom in the bed. Most ponies had a hard time babysitting the fillies and trying to get them to bed, but Zecora thought her story might do the trick. She and the ponies said goodnight, and she turned off the light as she left the room. "Y'all don't think she was serious, do you?" Apple Bloom questioned. Scootaloo shrugged as Sweetie Belle said, "we could always stay up to find out!" They nodded and started talking about how to spend their evening, and as smiles spread across the three fillies' faces as they planned yet another adventure, a shadow moved outside of the window, a smile now spreading across its face, too.
