The economy is going down the toilet, jobs are fleeing the state, so what do our GOP representatives do . . . why, try to make sure that two consenting adults can't ever get married.

Is this a great state or what?

Meanwhile, their Republican buddies in the House try to make sure that only if your are really, truly, forcibly raped can you get an abortion.

What ever happened to the Republican boasting about their ability to focus on the economy. So far neither in the State House or in Washington, have the Republicans done anything except take vacations or try to advance their own insanity.

Any kind of faux Israeli outrage over this picture just makes the curent Israeli government seem silly.

It's as if the rightwing religious kooks who currently control the Israeli government have joined up with the rightwing religious kooks who now control the Republican party in America. Paranoia and a wild imagination with no firm grasp of reality seem to be endemic in both.

Drunk college age kids and an open microphone do not make a pretty sight. One wonders what Mom and Dad will make of their siblings behavoir. For that matter, once they sober up, and return back home, how many of these blowhards will hang their heads in shame.

The real problem lies with AIPAC and the fascists currently in the Israeli government. With the record numbers of secular Jews leaving Israel, the exponential growth of the Israeli hasidic community, and the rabid settlers in the new territories, the future for Israel does not seem bright.

Commonsense and empathy seem to have deserted the Israel that I used to know.
