Because it is their freedom to choose weather or not to have the coverage. Maybe you would like it if the government required everyone to purchase flood insurance for their homes.

If a person can afford to not have health insurannce, why make them get it to begin with.
And a question for ya... Does catastrophic coverage tied to a health savings account qualify as coverage?

Wow, if I have ever seen spin that is it. What the government is doing is mandating private citizens to purchase a specific product. When the feds mandate a private citizen to purchase a product that gives them a lot of control over that given industry. And to say nothing remotely close will ever happen here is is laughable at best. They tried to get it through, Congress just couldn't make it happen.

The private sector is doing its fair share to screw things up because of the government involvment in the private sector. Sure, these companies have done some bad things, no one is saying otherwise. More competition is needed.

I don't really care about the opinion of others. And what the H e l l am I selling. Since you know so well what the progressive movement is all about, enlighten me. As for limbaugh and beck, I do agree with a lot that they say. So what. I also disagree with a lot that they say. Stop using the typical talking points and try having a discussion with your own thoughts.
