The full first level was covered with water in Hancher and Voxman. It is no longer a 100 year flood plain, and there is now way it is fiscally responsible to put the millions back into a building that has flooded twice in 15 years.

The whole thing is absurd. College students drank when I was in college, they drank when my father was in college, and guess what... The whole hypocrisy of adults trying to pass laws condemning the same thing they did when they were in college. Maybe the problem is our ideals. We will send our 18 year old to war, but not allow the responsibility of a drink? Really? Maybe the problem is our drinking law while pretending that we are all Puritans.

To reply to Grandpa R, to categorize with a blanket statement of "they always use" is itself a derogatory comment that creates division.

For instance, the guy flying his plane into the building housing the IRS office in Austin. Iowa's own Steve King even empathized with the guy helping incite more radicals.

It's like Palin trying to substantiate using the phrase reload? To 99% of the people, they can understand it as pure rhetoric, but for the extremist, this is inspiring more hate.

Why, because he is working to fulfill the campaign promises that the American People overwhelmingly supported? Because he is willing to try to show compromise to get things through? Confidence and encouragement in a time where many are trying to spread fear is a positive response...the kind of response that American's like myself support. He stated himself that his presidency would be judged on weather or not health care was passed. This was the number one campaign promise. The negative reaction is from the political game of fear. The rhetoric of death panels, and socialism, and baby killer, and the stunts of Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell. This bill is a step in the right direction for America. Let us all that supported the President in the beginning acknowledge our continued support for doing what he said he would do. Hope is much better than fear.

If you would watch anything but fixed news, you would see even James Baker (George HW Bush's SOS) praising Obama's foreign policy. Think what this country could do If the Republican Party would allow the senate to address the real issues our country is dealing with.

It's the paranoia of calling everything "lies" from the party that is hesitant to denounce Joe Wilson while in the same breath using it to raise $. Agree with you earlier that their are loons on both sides, but the party trying to claim they were not invited to the table is the same party that says he(ck) no to everything. You cannot demonize, or call someone a liar, or call someone a socialist, and then act like you were wanting to compromise. A platform of calling someone a liar is building a constituency that is for obstruction not open to negotiation.

ljw, Keep on looking for those Weapons of Mass Destruction and supporting your "Birther Conspiracy" while you question what truth is, and support your propaganda of hate. Really intellectual post you made there.
