I've been watching Gibson since Couric took over (she's hopeless) and was not expecting much from Diane. The new intro was nice and as I watched her I had a positive view--based mainly on what specials she's done in international interviews. However, as I watched one of the first segments about the health care bill and the supposed "expert" answers to viewer questions, I realized that she's no more "independent" than Gibson. To say that "you can keep your insurance as it is" without reference to the new market forces that will morph all insurance plans is dishonest--which I guess means there's no real change from Gibson except the skirt and a bit more body movement while talking. I was left wondering where can I turn get a compressed view of the day's news without without the spin and without reading it online.
