all i was saying is that god does not simply dictate the text to the man but rather inspires the concept to the man which allows for man made inaccuracies. As a christian, how can you argue against it. The bible tells us to eat kosher but we dont do that. The old testament is filled with irrelevent laws. im as christian as anyone here, but we cant be blind to the facts.

we have to keep in mind that the bible was written by man, which allows for inaccuraces, particularly in the older books of the old testament such as leviticus where it points out the law of marriage. The government cannot be further entangled with religion, and to be honest, marriage is a religious issue. You need to define marriage in one way, but still let the people do as they please without government approval.
