"On Friday, July 10th, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin signed House Joint Resolution 27 (HJR27), sponsored by State Rep. Mike Kelly. The resolution “claims sovereignty for the state under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States.”
The House passed the resolution by a vote of 37-0 (3 not voting) and the Senate passed it by a vote of 40-0."

The Bible is the single greatest piece of history we have, inspired by the word of God. But anyone who refuses to see the contradictions and inaccuracies therein (whether purposeful or not) is fooling themselves. I will never understand why "Believers" feel so threatened by the fact that small details in the Bible could be inaccurate due to mistakes in translation or copy techniques...it doesn't bother me a bit because I do not hinge everything on a few words here and there but on the whole message of the Bible.
That being said I think what we need to be asking ourselves is where in the U.S. Constitution does it say government has the right to ban gay marriage? Churches, yes, but government, NO.

Interesting e-mail I got from my Father in law....

" interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week:

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the
Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112
deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington , DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same
period. That means you are about 25 per cent more likely to be shot and
killed in the US capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws
in the US , than you are in Iraq .

Conclusion?

The US should pull out of Washington ."

If we allow the administration to alter AIG contracts how long until we are altering UAW contracts to benefit the auto industry?
All the more reason to let failing business fail.
