Oh come on people... a big real estate deal like this... and absolutely no one knows what the h-ll is going on?... Pure BS.

No one knows what's going on, because the elites don't want you to know what's going on. Savers was a Godsend for people like me, low income, on disability from a back injury, and everyone who's struggling here. Unfortunately, the people running this town would just as soon see us crawl off somewhere and die. It's no secret, like this is, on how this town views the down and out.

Someone go ask that doctor Vialpando if it's his elite sports complex... or what does the 9 million bucks we're going to be held ransom for tax wise to turn Boulder into the front range Aspen in the name of artsy fartsy unhelpful trash, hold in store?

I am positive though, that what ever entire paycheck eating tumor sprouts up there, will not be anywhere close to the value, and help, that Savers was.

I'll start with this. Amanda, I'm not the least bit impressed with your rash generalization of "long haired unwashed" Boulder citizens whom are in favor of Amendment 64. William Clinton smoked marijuana, do you have a unjustified contemptuous attitude towards him as well? Frankly, I feel that someone who automatically equates ones personal hygiene habits to a substance they consume to being in the double digit IQ range.

Boulder does not need a Wal Mart. The Super Wal Mart at the Rock Creek mall off of 36 is LESS than a 10 minute drive for me, I live near Foothills and Baseline road. The Wal Mart in Lafayette is just as close, although because of the ridiculously slow speed limits imposed by the City of Lafayette, it takes about 20 minutes to get to this store.

Target, at 28th & Pearl, offers everything Wal Mart does, their products offered are just as good of quality, if not better in some instances.

People are continuously whining how they want the best deals. Yet these people will tell you that our economy is horrific, and that Americans need jobs. If our worthless lawmakers and legislators would impose long overdue tariffs on shoddy, cheap products produced in countries that have sweat shop labor mills, and manipulate their currencies to drive down the global economy, America might just start making toasters, toothbrushes and pet food, which WILL CREATE more American jobs. You may have to pay slightly more for these goods, which might force you to actually involve a budget in your life, but the long term results will be that your children will not be singing the Chinese national anthem, and will have a better future than what they're looking at now.

We don't need Wal Mart, and I'm fairly sure that the majority of Boulderites don't want a Wal Mart either.

Once again, the ludicrousness of this attempt goes so far over the top, it's laughable. Not one person who's posted so far believes that there's anything that can be done to curtail the binge drinking that has, unfortunately, become the college norm. The only way to even attempt to fix this deadly activity is to work with the students on almost a one to one level, introducing them to the established proven dangers of excessive, rapid alcohol consumption. Alcohol is a killer, it's taken 4 of my best friends. It has the narrowest window between the slurred speech passing out level and then the respiratory arrest of any other drug, heroin, morphine, crack, etc. Simply put, you go from to passed out to dead very quickly.
I wish I had an answer to this, but medically, it's a no win scenario. Short of making Colorado a dry town, I just don't see this happening.

It's past time to do something about this every worsening police state when you can rack up 5 misdemeanor charges just for showing up wearing a mask. There is no longer a line between bad taste, and actually comitting a crime.

That railroad crossing on Baseline just south of 287 has been a mess for the last 30 years. But as soon as a bikey bends a $700 wheel... its news?

Anyone who's lived here as long as I have, undoubtedly remembers what the rail crossing in Louisville by Main street used to be like... now THAT was a crossing. You could catch air off of that one if you were going over 40 mph! And the one out on Dillon road by 95th street... that one would open the glove box for you!

Boulder City Council won't be happy until they control every single aspect of our lives, and the most terrifying part of this is, is that apparently the majority of this Paxil soaked paranoid apathetic politically correct population will just sit complacently and silently on the sidelines like good little sheep and allow this to happen.

Tweeting and "faceybooking" won't stop this. Need a clue? The Arab Spring sets a fine one.

I mentioned this yesterday in a comment. As soon as someone who is doing something "politically incorrect" but within the law, if CU doesn't like it, they seem to just pass their own laws trying to block the activity.

Then, with regards to firearms, on the flip side of the coin, they have reason to be somewhat apprehensive in lieu of what went down with the wacko who shot up the theater, but supposedly a CU psychiatrist voice concerns over this individual well in advance, and the faculty dropped the ball.

end point... if the individual seems to be of sound mind, and legally posesses a carry permit, shut up and teach the class.
