I thought multnomah county started around st johns bridge---how is this still considered columbia county?
I hope they don't put Hank down. Poor Hank just needs to go to responsible owners who know how to care for him and keep him restrained. There is no reason he should die because of this.
I was with you right up to the last paragraph! Mr Maack is an example of a parent who has been shortchanged! HIs son said in the piece that he wants to see his dad more, live with him more. I bet the mother didn't go on camera because she is a selfish person who can't put her own wants aside and her childrens first. Thats why he has spent thousands of dollars fighting for what should be rightfully his.
I am so sick of this crap!!! Share the road my behind!!! Share the fees, share the taxes and share the fines then we'll talk about share the road!!!
I agree with you on all that but do we honestly need a trolly right now? And no I don't want higher taxes either. In fact right now we're facing a vote for $30 more a month in taxes or loose a bunch of programs. Right now $30 is a lot for some families. I am not saying give all the money to education that wasn't my point at all and I am sorry if that is how you took it! I just think we are spending money on stupid stupid stuff that is not needed
yes taxpayers are paying for the extras's--well being that I won property I guess I am paying for the extras plus extra because I am homeschooling my son--you don't need to be home all the time we work 12 plus hours a day with the commute and check his work when we get home--takes 1/2 hour at most. I was simply stating that even if your child is home schooled they can still partake in sports, band and many others unlike pdx stated. And maybe I am comparing apples to oranges but money is still money. We don't need a trolly system we need better education. Are you ok with the all the cuts to schools?
I like the teacher retention based on performance....we have way to many who don't give a crap and they keep their jobs and its just not right!!! weed out the bad and bring in the good!
to pdx97205 we need brick and mortar for kids up to 6th grade especially for those who are in rural areas with no neighbors and only kids otherwise they do not learn social skills. I am so sick and tired of education getting cut but yet we are putting in a trolly from lake oswego to portland! where are the priorities? I don't care that the 2 come from separate funds money is money and it all spends the same and we need to prioritize or we are gonna have a bunch of idiots that don't know how to count change! my son was in public school until 9th then I pulled him out to homeschool him through connections academy. best decision ever his grades have improved and he does science experiments at home, video conference calls and teachings and he is also involved in extra curricular activities through the local high school so to pdx97205 regarding that aspect you spoke of you might want to check your stuff before posting. He does band, sports, drivers ed and auto shop all through the high school...I have to pay for it but its only $30 a month for all of that plus the regular fees associated that everybody else has to pay as well.
am I the only one that noticed this comes after facebook announced its new data center in priveville will be more earth friend unlike google? facebook boasted a 38% reduction in energy use! that was over the weekend and now google comes out with their own! sorry google a day late and dollar short!
are you upset because nobody has aknowledged your hard work? sounds like some jealously in there! and by the way God Bless you! see you sunday!
