I don't care that the 2 come from separate funds money is money and it all spends the same and we need to prioritize or we are gonna have a bunch of idiots that don't know how to count change! my son was in public school until 9th then I pulled him out to homeschool him through connections academy. best decision ever his grades have improved and he does science experiments at home, video conference calls and teachings and he is also involved in extra curricular activities through the local high school so to pdx97205 regarding that aspect you spoke of you might want to check your stuff before posting. He does band, sports, drivers ed and auto shop all through the high school...I have to pay for it but its only $30 a month for all of that plus the regular fees associated that everybody else has to pay as well. One was up walking around immediately after! Same thing with joint replacements. I have seen some nevrer walk again. Some walk the same day. Some that take 6 months. Everybody recovers differently. Everybdoy suffers differently. You can't use a "by the book" method when determining if someone is disabled or not. Some have better options for retraining, physical therapy, occupation therapy whereas some don't. So just because you have blind, deaf and limbless people functioning just fine and working at a job doesn't mean that this guy who has his own set of injuries doesn't deserve to be on disability. And there are unforseen circumstances that force some people to be unable to pay their bills whether that be a major medical emergency or sudden unxpected death of the bread winner that had no life insurance to loss of job! Try going from a $3,000 a month job to UnEmployment of $2,000 a month that hurts and thats if you can get the full max of $500. So for everybody who lives in their perfect little world with their perfect financial situation you best be hoping none of this ever happens to you. Karma is a nasty Byatch so watch out! Another person had posted when this first happened about her facebook page I then went in and looked around and found some alarming stuff of which I copied and pasted and sent to KATU---as for her complaints against the nursing staff.....I have worked as a nurse for several years now and if its true that her baby didn't get his diaper changed then the nurse would have been written up---why didn't kimberly do it herself? her feet are broken not her hands! furthermore in my experience its usually the drug addicts or mental ill people who do nothing but complain and complain about their hospital stay...I have had nothing but a positive experience with the State of Oregon but then again I do not do drugs and did not loose my kids in a fire!!! You can be assured that if that was my home burning I would have died in that fire trying to get my family out!!! I wouldn't have left my kids behind! As for the smoke detector when I rented my contract said it was up tome to make sure they working and had fresh batteries not the complex! This woman has shown no remorse at all for loosing her kids and rarely posted about her baby that did survive only complained about lack of care and her own injuries!!!
