I happen to believe that we should raise wages, raise taxes on those who can most afford it or change to a consumption tax, impose import tariffs to protect and rebuild our manufacturing and we should spend massive amounts to rebuild our infrastructure, modernize, bring in energy efficiency, develop clean renewable energies, stop subsidizing big agra, which is subsidizing fast food, which is making us sick,which is largely responsible for high healthcare costs, cut down on meat consumption, It's not the end of the world trust me I've done it for 40 years. There are many things we should be embracing.

In WWII the govt forced private industries to retoll from autos to build airplanes. They said it couldn't be done, would take years, and would onl;y produce so much. The private sector was wrong. We doubled their estimates and did it in months. Never doubt the people'
s resolve and what can be accomplished when working in unison for a common cause.

We have a common cause now. It;'s dealing with climate change, man made or not it's here. It's time to retool to CHEAP, clean renewable energy. It's time to fix our inefficient buildings, it's time to rebuild manufacturing.

Screw the companies and CEOs chasing the cheapest labor and the most lax govts on polluters. They should be put in jail for treason.

And like it or not we should teach kids about all kinds of systems, religions, ideologies and we should not be AFRAID. It's their turn and the more they know the better we all are. We certainly don't have all of the answers.

We are talking about Mondragon Cooperative corporations. $90 Billion in revenue and doing extremely well. Worker owned. They started with a 3 to 1 salary rule and went to 6 to 1 to compete in the market place. That means that if the lowest guy is making $40K then the top guy can only make $240K. If the top guy wants more he needs to pay the lowest guys more. It works. They are happy productive, healthy citizens, they have their own banks, health clinics and universities. They take care of their own. People come from all over the world to study their ,business model. They also have another interesting model. Instead of doing mergers and acquisitions which are always paid forby eliminating workers, they do the opposite, they break up groups that are getting too big and unmanageable (too big to fail).

Is this too scary for you? Are you capable of entertaining alternatives or are you blindingly convinced that this failing and bankrupt country and it's systems are perfect. If we have the best ideas and systems then please explain to me why we keep having these bubbles and recession and depressions and they keep happening sooner and sooner?

California has it's problems, which state doesn't. But last time I looked it's economy is still large enough to be listed with the top 10 countries greatest economies. It could separate and do quite well on it's own. I also recently read that it is 40% more energy efficient than the other states. I am sure that won't come in handy for the future. Why because they understand that people and a healthy vibrant community should come first, and profits follow. And they are not the only model, there's the same type of cooperative corporations around Bologna Italy. You and your kind are really fascists and your thinking is destroying America.
