i just like people to qualify their statements. unfortunately, you and your friends can't seem to do that.
although, instead of resting "your case," you should just give posting, in general, a rest.

BREAKING NEWS: Seattle Mayor, Mike McGinn, signs off on an expenditure that would pay $1,500,000 to the estate of Geronimo, the former Apache leader, for the unauthorized and defamatory use of his name. More to come.

hence, the line at the end of the last post. you weren't the one to say that bush was scared to read a book. therefore, you're not the one who was insinuating obama's apparent brilliance.

sadly, it is also when there is no use of other punctuation (such as a semicolon, period, exclamation point, question mark, em dash, etc.) used to correctly put together two independent clauses.
"But he came back" and "finished the tour with the stop in Everett." could both stand as independent clauses, if fixed. adding a comma and a coordinating conjunction is not correct. there needs to be a full stop there or no comma at all.
my knowledge of grammar is perfectly sound in that particular instance. at least you didn't call me out for not capitalizing--that is getting pretty old.

the point is this: saying bush is scared to read a book is retarded when you're obviously implying that obama is the epitome of brilliance.

on top of the comma splice, you are doing the same thing. remember when you called me shallow and materialistic? how exactly can you back that up?

calling someone shallow twice in the same sentence doesn't really reinforce your point.
i was insinuating that you sound like a total douche. "i listen to vinyl. i don't talk on the phone. i hate apple. i'm a hypocrite (but, only a little bit because i try really hard not to be). etc., etc., etc.." why the hell would anyone ever want to be around you? you probably call anyone around you materialistic and shallow.
