Anything that tells the Federal government where they can stick it, when they have illegally seized control over the issue in the first place ("Interstate Commerce Clause," my ass), is a "yes" vote for me. The States can each sort out their feelings on the matter when they have their sovereignty back.

Fill the government full of two-faced RINOs like Mike Villines and Meg Whitman, and the people here will get to bitch and moan about how the Republican Party is ruining the state. Might as well elect more Democrats and keep the focus on their party, until the few true conservatives out there become politically competitive.

Observe the glaring dearth of comments lambasting the johns this girl detailed in her report. Double standard? Naah.
I feel bad for her, but I still had to laugh.

It sounds like this race is very close. If you care to see the Senate Majority Leader lose his seat this election, write, email, phone Scott Ashjian and tell him to stop this nonsense immediately. If the Tea Party Movement ever goes official and becomes simply "The Tea Party," they are doomed to be nothing more than a minor influence in the political arena, just like the Green Party, just like the Libertarian Party. We can't let that happen. Here's my contribution:

Sir,

You cannot win against Harry Reid. Sharron Angle is the only chance we have right now, and your reconciliation with her would definitely improve the odds.

On the other hand, running against her will inevitably doom the country to another term under Reid's control, and that would make you a Traitor to the Tea Party Movement--if not within your own little enclave, certainly throughout the rest of the country.

Signed,
A very concerned Californian

Edit: It wouldn't hurt to throw a little money her way, either. http://sharronangle.com

I don't know about Christie, but I can tell you Meg Whitman is as two-faced as politicians come. After purchasing tons of ads to make it clear she will be "tough as nails" on illegal immigration for the primary, she turns around and puts up Spanish ads reassuring the Spanish-speaking community (like the legal citizens in CA can't understand Spanish?) of her pro-amnesty leanings.

Regardless of which stance is correct (or whether she actually has any power to affect immigration policy), it's impossible to predict which side of any issue Whitman will be on if she takes office. She relies on her campaign managers to decide what her opinion of the week will be, like Obama relies on his "Czars" to run the country (into the ground) while he's out golfing. Both strategies are equally effective. Meg Whitman is exactly the kind of politician we should be trying to remove from office...if she wins, we'll be replacing Schwarzenegger with--a female Schwarzenegger.

Much as it pains me to say this, I'll be voting for Jerry Brown this year. With Brown, at least we know what we're getting.

The Jews are the ones letting Mexicans across the border? Give me a break. I'm tired of these ridiculous conspiracy theories. Modern Jews are about as harmful as the Mennonites, and if they are movers & shakers in our government, their ability to guide policy is no better than that of any other ethnicity. They just do the job better. You people are absurd.

"Atheists and Agnostics always insist that there is NO GOD [. . .]"

If agnostics ever said that, they'd be atheists.

Nope, just horribly misled and oblivious to human nature.

How does encouraging ambition and responsible risk-taking in any way fit the Progressive agenda?

I don't think I would let my fourteen-year-old daughter attempt something like that, but that's the parents' choice. I do think insurance should be required, or enough collateral put up to cover a reasonable rescue effort. But that's apparently not the way these things work--yet.
