I'm wondering if it's possible to write Rebecca Long @ Purdy? I'd enjoy creating an entertaining missive that details my hopes for her as she completes her piddly little sentence. (My vision for her next 41 months involves a weight-lifting Bull Dyke with an extreme hatred of child abusers) I wonder if you have to have an inmate # when writing to this evil swamp sow? So many great comments here, based on solid logic and a contemporary world view.

In contrast, so many illogical arguments, based on Christian rehetoric and/or ignorance and hatred.

Most folks that I know that profess to be Christians, don't see things with the same narrow view as the guy who is clearly threatened by homosexuality and BigJerk, the bible thumper. Huzzah for opting for an opinion based on genuine care for thier fellow man/woman - regardless of his/her sexual orientation.

And then there's the folks in the extreme which - unfortunately - always appear so ignorant when quoting scripture. One of those people are my biological father who once asked my daughter (at the tender age of 8) "...if it bothered her that her mother is going to hell..?" (for being gay). No kidding.

I've been going to the Kingsgate Safeway for over ten years as it's near my job. I watched James go from bagger to checker over those years and bar none - he's the friendliest and most efficient checker in the place. He's an inspiration to others with like-challenges. Go James! You look maahhhhhvelous!

Stories like this, while sweet, just remind us how jacked up this planet is because of human disregard --- or greed.

Ken Burns latest documentary about America's National Park system (five stars!) covers a familiar topic to documentary watchers; decimation of buffalo herds in the "wild west". That story...those images never fail to physcially sicken me.

I can tell you from years of service work that it's the ones who complain the loudest that do the least. This has been proven time and time again over ten solid years of service work. You say: "OK, if you don't like it, show up to the next meeting, give your opinion and pitch in on the next project!" And those folks are no where to be found come time to approach the next project.
