So, what is your proposed solution? At least the Arizona law might help stem the tide of more illegal alien incursions and slowly begin to send back some of the millions already here.

Sorry Mike, but the citizenry has a reasonable expectation that elected officials will enforce the law whether or not the administration du jour agrees with that law or not. Illegal, and that's the key word that seems to be missing from all the left wing, open borders, bleeding heart screeds, immigration laws have been ignored by both democrat and republican admins and if the Feds won't deal with the issue, then it is perfectly logical for the states to jump in and do something about the problem. As the bumper sticker says, "Think Globally, Act Locally." That's what Arizona is doing.

Did you read the story? "Huntley said officers responded to the scene as if there were an active shooting in progress. "

Police and fire always respond to something like this prepared, and stay so during the initial investigation because you have no idea if there are perps still in the area or in the building. What would be your suggestion or your action? Walk in with flowers singing kumbayah?

Tom Parsons - Ever hear of WWII? That's what worked and brought the country out of the Depression. Of course it's 20-20 hindsight speculation, but many economists have said that the economy was turning around by 1936 but that the New Deal caused it to tank again and extended the misery.

Seems like we could be experiencing the same thing. Recent reports have indicated that the extension of unemployment benefits is a disincentive for many people to actively look for jobs until their free ride ends.

By the way, it doesn't take being part of a chain to be "loathsome." Somehow Pasta Jay's manages to thrive and it's one of the worst, awful most disgusting places on earth. But at least there are a lot of kids at the table next to you throwing meatballs at their parents.

Classy place? I don't think so. More like Bennigans. When I think of a classy place, the Flagstaff House, John's, Frasca or L'Atelier come to mind. But, Ted's will keep filling the gap for people who take comfort in familiarity as opposed to innovation or adventure. I'm sure there will be lines waiting to get in just like at the awful Cheesecake Factory.

The County Commissars couldn't give a rat's patoutie about the opinion of their constituents and the comrade citizens of Boulder. The surveys are designed to make you "think" that you have a voice but the reality is that they will do what THEY believe is the way everyone SHOULD conform according to their misguided beliefs. ClimateSmart is the Orwellian newspeak they use. I don't know about you, but I never signed up for my paid in taxes to be used as a loan to someone else. If you want to buy into the whole energy boondoggle and spend your money on stuff with a 20 year payback, then fine. But, the County has no business subsidizing and loaning MY money for you to do it.

That photo offer all kinds of talk bubble opportunities.

From Crystal Gray: "Damn! Why didn't they invite me?" There is great shopping on the Champs-Elysees!

"She said Ford, who appeared to police to be intoxicated,"

Duh! Or, is there a med pot clinic in the neighborhood?

I'm happy for you and for your savings and I am not disputing the results. I'll ignore the carbon footprint comment because I think that's a bunch of smoke, mirrors and BS. Same as for the idiotic carbon credit trading. But, my point is that the government should not be in the business of encouraging people to go further into debt, regardless of the potential or supposed benefits. I'm curious about the mechanics. Was your loan from a bank and guaranteed by the County or did you borrow direct from the County? If the latter, then I and the other tax paying citizens of Boulder just loaned you the money, NOT the County. And, I never signed up to be anyone's bank.
