At our Glenn Beck group meeting, the aftermath to our Tea Party we talked about July 4th. Our Party was held at 7PM on the 15th and we filled a baseball stadium with 4000 people and the police turned away another 1000 because there was no more room. One Idea that is being kicked around is having the other parties in each state (each state has a Tea Party organizer) try and organize a march on their respective state capitals on the 4th of July. The idea being to focus this movement still on a local level but to bring even larger numbers; the response to our party in the last two days has been so great that we can’t think of anywhere that can hold another party that can hold 20,000 people (could even be more than that based on the emails). I would love to see each state capital deluged with 25,000 to 100,000 peaceful citizens.

Like to see the news media ignore that story.

Changing a system should be effective but also complete with appropriate safe guards in place to help prevent unexpected results. I would propose one single change that I think could effectively start unraveling the waste and deceit. My law or change is two fold.

1.All representatives must vote yes or no when it is time to vote. No voting present and if one does not vote they better have a great reason.
2.No matter how many individual items are contained in any piece of legislation, each Representative/Senator must vote yes or no on each individual part.

This single basic change eliminates the need for a single vote on critical legislation to also be a vote for waste or worse. This change does not require Washington to change the way they do business, but it allows America to see what business is being transacted and by whom.

Right now this broken system forces good people to support bad ideas and encourages partisanship. This change would allow good ideas to pass and bad ideas to fail. The voters will then have an exact and precise list of how their representative has voted. The representative will know that they have no cover for voting in ways that are contrary to their constituency.

Does anyone know what the real number of people who attended Tea Parties? I have seen several sites listing locations and numbers, but as a example they do not list my town. In Fishkill NY we filled a baseball stadium with 3500 people! We backed up NY State Route 84 and had to start an hour late to give people time to show up. I gave a 20 minute speech in front of 3500 peaceful patriots. I still can not describe how honored I am to have address the people who live in my community or how proud I am of those people.

To demonstrate our numbers at one point in my speech I asked everyone to raise their hands if they knew 5 people who were not at the event but felt the same way we do. Every hand went up immediately! I can not think of anyplace locally that could effectively hold that many people. I think it is vital we get a good consensus of our numbers, because it is our numbers we need to increase in order to effect change. Please is anyone keeping count on our numbers?

The date must be set so it works for our needs and allows for the logistics we need to actually get large numbers of people to Washington. Personally I don’t care if the Senate and the House are out of session; I would just as soon they were not there anyway (Unless they stay because we are coming). If we show up in large numbers the media will cover the event. I have also heard about an April 30th march, but that is a Thursday. I think a Friday or Saturday event will obviously draw more people.

Although many people think that we have little time for action the reality is that our actions will take time. The 9-11 commission told America that the terrorists were at war with America but America was not at war with the terrorists. The left is at war with the right and they have been for decades. The left has control of the media, our schools where they indoctrinate our children and they have infiltrated the Republican Party.

Right now we are regrouping our forces and our greatest goal in the next 6 months is to expand our numbers by attending Tea Parties. We need our numbers to swell so we can become our own special interest group. It is one thing to say that we surround them, it another thing to prove it.

A third party will just hurt our cause (conservatism) for decades. We are loosing elections by very narrow margins. As our number swell so will our voters and then candidates will beg for our support. If ACORN can get Mickey Mouse registered to vote in all 50 states, then by God we can get plenty of people registered, educated and motivated to vote. If we prove we really surround them then they don’t stand a chance.

I don’t believe the House or the Senate will vote “Term Limits” in the near future. I would like to suggest we push an intermediate alternative.

Each State should require the representatives to work from their respective state capitals. The technology is readily available for these people to meet and vote virtually. State representatives should only go to Washington for special occasions. The people should demand all State Governors to meet and adopt this strategy to control the House and Senate. This approach could make it easier for the constituents to meet with the representatives than the lobbyists. The people have lost faith in their representatives and need to assert control again. Problem employees require greater supervision and guidance not the freedom to do as they please.

Let’s focus pressure on the Governors to force an intermediate alternative and take back control of the government. Let’s decentralize the Washington power structure!

This project is only a week old. There are leaders here and we are organizing. The first real test will be the success of the Tea Parties. People should make every effort to support and grow these events. What the media will respect will be our numbers. We want to show everyone we are serious and numerous. These Tea Parties will not only get the project noticed but they will also help to increase our numbers. For every 1 person who has joined there are 5 or 10 more who don't know about this or think it is a joke.

Don’t get frustrated or angry at the beginning of this struggle. We don’t need to incite violence or be an angry mob to be heard. We must adhere to the principles and values first and foremost as we proceed. After a month our numbers will grow and the organizations will begin to formalize. Then we can start to talk about leaders and choosing the best strategy to move forward and unwind the foolishness that has brought us to this point.

I am commenting and following various conversations over the last 3 days. My email has been burning up. I have a folder with almost 700 messages; it’s amazing to read the shear volume of informed opinions here. I believe that at the rate we are going now it is only a short time before we start to focus on something that can actually be accomplished. I am hopeful that in the days to come a couple of real organizational structures will rise for us to support.

The government no longer listens to the people and is flagrantly disregarding the rule of law intended to control the government. In fact they are using the law to try and rewrite and negate the protections provided by the constitution. Because of this our Republic is in jeopardy.

I would like to start a list of the organizations who are participating in our discussions. If you are a leader or can speak for one of these groups please respond with information about your group. I am sure there are others who are ready to look at these groups for merit.
