We are not a court of law so we are free to put forward our views. I think OJ killed his estranged wife and Ron Goldman but legally, he got off.

Legally, there is ample proof to charge him for desertion, wouldn't you agree? In OJ's case, there was ample proof to have charged him with murder.

PS: fail to see the point of the parables. The prodigals father symbolizes God, who will accept sinners against him who repent back to the kingdom but we are talking about earthly transgressions against men. I am sure you would agree that men still must face earthly justice for their earthly transgressions.

Couldn't we all agree that there is ample proof to bring charges and let military justice run its course?

The question of if the deal was worth it is a valid one and the outcome of any future criminal proceedings will weigh into those discussions. It is generally accepted that we would always have to give more in such swaps because we value life much more than the terrorists we fight.

I have said he should get his day in court. Based on what we have seen, it does seem like it is quite possible that he deserted.
