This will be the next Stephen King story to take place in Maine. The Ghost of Lobster-fisherman.
I will say this - I don't have a problem with gay marriage at all. Everyone has a right to marry whomever they want. That's how I personally feel. But with that being said, I just don't believe that's his reason for coming out and saying he supports it. Wasn't it only 2 days ago he said his mind was "evolving" on the topic? My personal opinion: He sent out his staffers to get a feel for how many people want gay marraige, he got a 70% or higher reaction of people who think it's a good idea, so now he's appealing to the majority to win the votes.
The problem is, it doesn't mean anything if it doesn't happen. Guantanamo bay is still operating, after all. (I don't have a problem with that) but his major statement going into the elections was he was going to close that evil place down! Didn't happen.
I would hate to see us re-elect based on empty words (again.)
There's a great movie called In the Mouth of Madness, and the premise is that this author's books have so many followers and so many people believe in his work that it becomes the new reality. With so many people jumping on the Zombie trend, I have to worry that zombies will truly be on their way!
I would like the 1979 Dawn of the Dead slow zombies please.
If the 2004 Dawn of the Dead running zombies show up, I'm a dead man.
On the topic of people jumping to conclusions...
"DEA spokeswoman Amy Roderick said he was accidentally left there." There's no dispute of how long he was in the cell.
You left out Tire Stores.
In a related news story, 1,000's are currently hitting the streets of 82nd...
Maybe I'm too generic, but I'm of the opinion when you threaten the US, we show you what we can bring to the party.
The people who signed up for loans and credit they couldn't repay are just as guilty as the banks offering the money. Accountability is not a one-way street on this topic.
On the plus side, people may find it's easier to find a job while these goofballs aren't applying.
There was a story some time ago about a guy paying his $600 tax bill with all pennies to make a point, and the IRS refused the payment. It's a valid concern.
Some time ago, the Coinstar machines had an option that the 10% fee would be waived if you were requesting a Fred Meyer gift card instead of cash. I'd like to see the return of that. It certainly would be a good PR move at the very least in light of this issue.
This guy has done more for big industry than anyone else. KFC, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Fuddruckers, Carl's Jr, etc. One thing worse than a hypocrite: A wealthy one.
