Just started in. It has been a busy, busy year. I absolutely adore the exterior and outside spaces. I had to look at the interiors several times before I became accustomed to the very subtle colors. I tend to love color. After several viewing of the tours and pictures of this home I fell into its jive. There is a beauty to subtly. That is one of the reasons that I moved 12 years ago to the desert. I find such beauty in the subtly of the desert. I had to make a mind shift to apply that to this home. The floor plan is awesome! The family space, great room and kitchen are so inviting. I would love to gather my children and their families in this space. Again, kudos to HGTV.
It's my bedtime but we'll have to talk more.
Oh my gosh! I grew up in Ballard/Bothell. I've lived there since 2003 until I relocated to Southern Utah.
We're both too easy. Just think of the morning, sitting, drinking coffee and enjoying the view. Idle talk that comforts us both. Ahhh. Total peace.
Thanks Eugenia! We are on the eve on 2013 and tomorrow brings new opportunities. I live in an area that has warm summers but also sees the possibility of snow in the winter. Funny to see snow on palm trees and Joshua trees. I could see myself nestled between the trees, enjoying the warmth of summer and the chill of winter. I'm originally from Seattle where the weather is "mundane". No extreme warm, nor extreme cold. I'm at the age where weather's "mood" can be fun.
So right on! If either of us win this; we'll have to arrange a rendezvous. Who sleeps in the Master Suite vs Guest Room is the question!
This year is mine I think! I promise to make the guest room your "honorary space". Whenever you want the room it's yours!
Rough year, Eugenia. Thanks for asking. I've named 2014 as MY year. The snow at the DH? Wow! Could you imagine living warmly in that house while looking out ALL those windows at the snow on the ground and trees; feeling SO cozy! Leaving the fire at bedtime and tucking everyone in to their warm and cozy spaces before climbing into that beautiful bed in your master bedroom. Next morning getting up, starting the fire making coffee and starting breakfast. Bringing everyone down for eggs, bacon and hashbrowns; talking about dreams from the night and what plans we have for the day. Desert life might have a true competitor.
Bee, I thought the same thing myself, questioning my memory. Why less?
