i read this somewhere upthread, but i can't remember who said it: they suggested that if movie!touga had lived, and gotten to develop into a teenager, that he would have become the touga we see in the show. it was the fact that he died young that he managed to retain his goodness. i'm not actually sure how i feel about movie!touga's backstory yet, or whether i want to retroactively apply it to the show or not, but i thought this was worth mentioning.

a similar thing happened for me with harry potter and buffy. it's a really great feeling and what makes this site so special.
