Strange situation. We have mass emigration but also mass immigration at the same time? I wonder how accurate those stats actually are? Are there people claiming they live here (on the census forms) that are maybe actually resident elsewhere?

Ireland should claim all those planets and stars as being Irish territory and tax the bejaysus out of them. Problem sorted.

I have no doubt that he made those comments based on a very real frustration and experiences of African folk making demands from him. I also have no doubt that he must be very socially and strategically inept to believe that making such comments would be good for his political career. He has lost his majorial role and party whip due to his bumbling incompetence at handling a difficult social situation. Any politician worth their weight would find a way to diffuse the issues in more strategic and acceptable manner. Good riddance.

Thanks for the laugh... I needed one. What a pile of scutter. You are wrong in so many ways that it is impossible for me to reply at length. However, here are a few pointers....
*Ireland's population is not 2.62 million.
*Who discussed 'selling' Ireland to China? We are talking about providing expertise they don't have at a PREMIUM creating jbadly needed jobs and wealth here.
*Whether you like it or not, China is and will continue to be a dominant economy in an ever increasingly small world stage. If we don't hop in now we will miss the train for good.
