Just another lame case of real life taking precedent over fantasy SCD. It's funny that I'm actually doing better this season since all things Supercoach have had to take a backseat compared to last year when I was obsessing over it every waking hour.

But we're not even halfway done with 2017 yet so plenty of ways to come undone as well as for those who have had their struggles early to power home with a wet sail.

Well Trig I know Lek used to have "The Gingers" as a muck around side so perhaps I should start up "The Junkies" next season and see how it goes?? Just so long as you guys don't dob me in for operating a 2nd side haha. Although there could also be some legal issues to consider too.

Absolutely Pieman! Your team could suffer a BLOW if you don't give him a CRACK this week. That is my METHodology anyway although it hasn't served me well lately with Harbrow.

Bennell and Carlisle are also on the upgrade list too if you must know so you can plan your side accordingly. As a self confessed addict I'm all too familiar with substance abuse unfortunately.

If James is anything like Ben I'm sure he'll prove a real ripsnorter! :)

That's not necessarily true. I don't have Jelwood, Kelly or Dusty either yet have been steadily climbing the rankings now ranked 318th overall. Avoiding a lot of the disasters like Shaw, Parker and NRoo is probably just as important as having the guys scoring gangbusters to your ranking and league performances.

Also getting your midpricers and rookies more right than wrong makes a major contribution to how successful your season ends up being. A lot of coaches were hurt early in the season by starting too many spud rookies on their field. Then there is your bye navigation performance. So there are a lot of factors at play.

5pm AEST tomorrow assuming there isn't a late change on game day.

Sandi to either Goldy or Ryder should be a popular trade this week. Even coaches who aren't completely sold on the idea will likely pull the trigger to either dodge a donut or to avoid dealing with the uncertainty on when Sandi may actually return.

I think many would've preferred to trade Sandi out during his Rd13 bye but somewhat predictably the Supercoach gods want to force our hand this week instead.

Wouldn't be doing it unless it spares you a donut this week. As good as he looked last weekend how many went early on Black or even O'Connor or McNiece and then regretted it?

Personally I wouldn't pay top dollar for Neale who is more than $40K more expensive than any other player in the game! Sure he is flying right now but we all saw what happened when folks paid top dollar for Dusty and Sloane earlier this season.

All players will have a down patch, even the guns, so you really want to pick them off as cheap as possible like Dusty, Jelwood and Pendles this week, who all have a chance of averaging higher than Neale from here imho and more than $100K cheaper than Neale. In fact I'd rather go Titch and save $50K over Neale who is also going great guns atm if those other 3 guys are of little interest to you and also has the same bye as Neale.

With so many Thursday games this season the reverse trades trap is sure to claim plenty of victims. Can happen to even the best of coaches if they are off their game a tad.
