Even if you quit with no notice, usually you know that things are bad at work leading up to the dramatic goodbye.

If you are in a really bad situation, there are a few things I'd suggest getting copies of and saving at home as a precautionary measure:
*your Rolodex/Outlook contacts
*your email going back as far as you can
*work product that can be used for a portfolio
*your company's policies and procedures manual
*contact info for the benefits coordinator/HR person.

Adorable. I don't know any kids who like Bieber, but my hipster friends would think it's the tits.

One of the things that kills me is that services post-privatization often cost more for those who can least afford to pay.

Let's take roads. If they are paid for with taxes, those who earn more pay more for the roads (even in a flat tax rate system). If they are paid with tolls, no matter what you earn, you pay the same toll.

As a percentage of household budget, privatization falls much more heavily on the backs of the poor.

Fox News commenter John Stossel: "No group in America has been more helped by the government than the American Indians." I mean, who knew?

This seems like so much magic to me. How does one approach a puzzle like this? Does one look at how the object functions first, or dive into the code directly? Are there functions that are, in general, more vulnerable than others?
