No, that was Adam Busch's character, Warren Mears.

We have a lot of genetic problems in our family, so when I was pregnant they suggested the amnio. I agreed to it, but only because I saw what my neighbor went through when her son was born with Downs. The flags came back and she refused the amnio to find out for sure - because they were keeping the baby no matter the outcome. After he was born, she had a complete breakdown because she had talked herself into believing he would be fine.

We told the doctors up front that even if the results came back positive for Downs, we weren't aborting. We'd wanted a baby so badly. He was a miracle as it was since they told me I was infertile. There was no way that baby was going anywhere. My husband and I wanted to be armed with the knowledge so that our child would have the proper care right away.

Our son was born at 32 weeks via an emergency c-section. Just a little peanut. But a fighter and perfectly healthy in every way.

I'm very happy to see "The Ref" on your list! It's a Christmas Eve tradition in our house! My husband and I have watched it every year since it came out on DVD. One of the best parts is when Kevin Spacey uses the fireplace poker to smash the Christmas tree, then yells, "Excuse me, but the corpse still has the floor!"

My favorite quote of all time: "Don't make me nuts today! It's Christmas!" It's pretty much our mantra with the families during the holiday season.

Sorry that I took your comment literally. That can be the sucky part about the internet, you can't always detect sarcasm. :)

It's true that at one time, Nesmith ran out of money...after his stint on the Monkees. Poor business decisions led to that. However, since the 80's, Nesmith has been and still is FAR from out of money. He took the millions he inherited from his mother who invented Liquid Paper and created the concept of MTV which he sold for millions to Time/Warner. He created Pacific Arts Video which was the pioneer of home video. He's a very successful businessman.

I own all of their albums (vinyl and CD), including their "newer" stuff that came out in the 80's and 90's. I love their music, but can do without the show now that I'm older and wiser. :)

I wasn't born when they became a sensation, but I was a teenager when they went on their 20th Anniversary Tour. My friends and I fell in love with them and their show. I've seen them in concert about 20-30 times and met Davy, Mickey and Peter and handful of times. In the last few months Antenna TV began airing the show again. I was excited as I don't own the DVDs and I thought I could share a piece of my childhood with my 5 year old son -- like I did with Sesame Street and Scooby Doo (we no longer watch Sesame Street). While I enjoyed the first season with as much enthusiasm as I did when I was young, I found the second season extremely disappointing. While my son enjoys the show because of the music and wackiness, I find I enjoy it less. I suppose the difference between being 16 and 41 is the fact that I'm older, wiser and not confused about my political leanings (not that I ever was, but I was more tolerant then because I was naive). Now that we've seen the show all the way through, twice, I've taken the season pass off the TiVo.

I'll never regret having that "magic" during my teens and early 20's, but the shine has worn off for sure.

"Bella spends a lot of time whining about how much she loves Edward and how she wants to die if she can't be with him. Most sane readers at this point will then spend some time imagining all the ways she should die, followed by wondering what they could have done with the hours they lost reading the books (ie., watching Ishtar, buying a Snuggie, or imagining the wet, whispery sound Spam makes as it slips out of its casing). "

THIS!!! When Bella kept trying to commit suicide during the second book, I kept yelling, "DO IT!! DO IT!!" And then I was disappointed when she survived. My OCD required me to read the entire series. By the end, I was weeping for the time I lost. I also lost a lot of blood since it kept shooting out of my eyes.
