I could go on with example after example, but I think everyone has witnessed what I'm talking about. I firmly believe that the law is the law, and it should apply to every person equally. If i'm going to prison for not paying my taxes, then who is Geithner to get away with it. See my point. This is another definition for corruption. Until the corruption is removed from our government, I feel we are in a sad state in this country.
Any how, I wanted to also let you know nhagman, I enjoy reading your post.

Nhagman I am amazed everytime I read one of your post. You have it "so right" Corruption is the problem. No "one" should ever be given this kind of "Power."
When I read your comment on corruption, the first thing that came to my mind is our "Legal System." It is so brokern. Think about it, if we as every day- hard working people just happen to "forget" to pay our taxes, would we get away with it? No we would have our wages garnished; money taken out of our bank accounts, without any notice, homes taken, and on our way to court, and problem prison. You get the point!

Does it surprise anyone that what Obama promised and said he would do didn't happen? Let's just take his word for what it is--Lie, lies, and more lies. Nothing has changed in his administration, if anything, the lies and deception are growing with every second of the day. As far as values and principals, those days are gone in politics. It's like watching a drama unfold. All we can do is stay aware of what is going on and fight for our rights, and fight with all the principals and values that we have. Let's rise above what these politicians think they know!

I totally agree with mudra. I am so sick of the blame game. This financial crisis didn't happen overnight. It didn't even happen under President Bush's watch. The economy has been falling apart for many, many years under many presidents. The problem is that we have been lied to time and time again. There is plenty of blame to go around, including the American people. We to some degree allowed this to happen to us. We should have worked together to regain our power over the government. The government should have never been given so much power. Congress is full of unethical people who care about nothing but power and money. It is sickening, and the blame game needs to stop, the issue at hand need to be dealt with. The American people deserve better than this.

I just think the people of the United States should band together right now and take back our government. They have had control for too long...this is suppose to be a "Government for the People, not a Government for the Government." We trusted them with our lives, and look at the mess were in. Our children have this to look forward too, and all that we tried to teach them about being responsible, and to understand that we have to live within our budgets seems as though we lied to them, I mean, look at the examples they have to look up too for their leaders, look at the shape they have put the United States of America in... God help us all!

I am just so angry, and feel so helpless. It just seems to me like responsible people get punished, while the irresponsible are rewarded. Am I the only one who thinks that there is something wrong with this picture?

What has gone wrong in the United States of American when hard-working and moral people are being punished for being responsible? People who have never ask for a penny to help them take care of their families? People who have look their child in the eye and said "no" to them because they wanted something that wasn't in the budget, and then sat them down to teach them about priorities, responsibility, and the difference between wants and needs? It is sickening to me, and makes me Angier everyday.

The Government should be ashamed to look these people in the eye, and bald face lie to them on a daily bases. I don't claim to be "Einstein," However, we all know that this catrosphe didn't happen overnight, it didn't even happen during George Bushes' eight years in office, he too, was handed a disaster like Obama; so stop using this as an excuse Obama Staff. For them to think we are all so naive as to believe it did, is a slap in the face, as well as, to our intelligence.
