I think it is time to move to New Zealand. There is still a little room left there. When that's gone it will have to be the South Pole (The Russians have claimed the North Pole, and apparently we are going to let them have it.)
As someone said in this VENT section, the time is short and the hour is now for some really assertive and focused, albeit peaceful and non-violent, ACTION. We just can't sit by on our butts and lament that we are losing our nation. The courts are our only avenue of action, I feel. It certainly is not the Congress. It for sure isn't the Executive Branch. The last hope is really the U. S. Supreme court. Let us figure out a few of the 912 people who can assemble a team of constitutional attorneys and file somewhere and move quickly to get a review by one of the Conservative Justices. As I see it, there is no other avenue that maintains the critical desired outcomes of peaceful/lawful and non-violent. Let the 912'ers work it through the system - the legal system that may still be somewhat above reproach and not corrupted.
God save the United States of America!
And, our work must be peaceful, compelling, and congruent with our wonderful country's governing values. Non-violence and focused love of country and our fellow man will prevail if we are united. If you do this for us, for Texans, for Americans, I will serve as your champion until my last breath.

God bless you. I pray for you and your colleagues. God will help - Then again, he has already helped by giving us brains & gumption and the motivation to use them in his work. It takes prayer, of course. We will never stop praying for you and our nation. However, as we my father and the heroes of his generation discovered during World War II, it took more than prayer to put a stick in the Nazi machine – it took prayer AND the focused action of dedicated people along with the largest Allied Army in the history of the world, led by General Eisenhower, to drive a stake into the heart of evil. Those of us gifted with the presence on earth and in America at this time, must peacefully, non-violently unite and stand in support of our Constitution, our governing values, and our America. After all, to quote John Kennedy, "Here on earth, God's work must truly be our own."
Senator Cornyn, we have met before under very happy circumstances. You are a friend of my closest and dearest friend. You are a fellow Texan, and more importantly, a fellow American. Of course I trust you to vote against the Budget. It is expected that you to vote in this manner as a Texan and our Representative in the US Senate. But the larger issue is much more critical. I need to know what I can do to be a resource to you! A resource to you to use your remarkable aura of influence to gather your fellow patriots from either party in the Senate to put a stick in the wheel of the administration's machine which is propelling us down a road to tyranny and away from the values of our founding fathers, my father, your father, and our fellow Texans. I feel it is incumbent on you to do more than vote for America in the Senate. On my knees I beg you to build a bi-partisan coalition of your associates on the Hill to bring an end to this insanity.
NOW TO MY POINT. I fear for our country - our nation, and our Constitution. I fear the current actions in Washington will take our country DOWN either through ignorance or insidious intent. The American system is disintegrating before my eyes. We are spending money that we don't have, can't possibly have, and that which even our grandchildren can't possibly repay. Repayment will likely be in a manner similar to Germany's repayment of the Versailles debt in the 1920's - hyper inflated money. STOP THE SPENDING.
RE: HOMELAND SECURITY - The real meaning of Homeland Security. Here is part of a letter I just wrote to Texas US Senator Cornyn. We are somewhat acquainted, and he is a very good friend of my very best BUD. ". . . With the preceding simply a means of introduction, it is important to note that my father instilled his and his family's governing values in me as a child, teen and adult. Many were instilled at his knee. Most were driven home ACROSS HIS KNEE. These values correspond to those of our Founding Fathers. Every time we were together he would tell his stories of George Washington, Sam Houston, his fellow FBI and OSS buddies, and other heroes and link their actions to the principles he reinforced with me. These were and are values that affirm the miracle of our constitution as the only true bastion of liberty and the free American system.

Increase in Home Gardening. In 2008 there was a big increase in home vegetable gardening which is skyrocketing in 2009 in order to save money and to become more self-reliant. Rob’s catalog contains so much information that it is also a growing handbook. The catalog gives gardeners detailed information – ideal sowing temperature, pests to watch for, and how to tell optimum maturity for harvesting. And, he pledges to not knowingly buy or sell genetically modified (GMO) seeds or plants.

I share some of the information from this article for 3 reasons: 1) There is some concern about our federal government sticking its fingers into home gardens and perhaps Rob’s comments may give us some insight into possible motives – if you can’t guess already; 2) Rob’s catalogue contains a great deal of information that may be helpful if we really need to begin growing food for our family (I am not a gardener – my wife fills that role in spades); and 3) It’s getting more and more difficult to find – locally – good seeds which are not genetically modified, etc. Treat my comments like a good Chinese dinner: allow what is good to hang around and nourish you. What you don’t like, let it pass through.
