You are very charitable because you believe in contributing through your chosen profession(s) and spreading logic to those who are willing to listen. You don't want your fellow countrymen enslaved through dependence.

Does anyone know what the lifetime benefits are for members of congress? I've heard several times that there are extremely generous pension and health care benefits for anyone elected to a House or Senate seat, but I can't find any good sources which spell it out in plain English. I've heard Glenn and others mention these generous benefits, and I want to be accurate when talking to others about this. Any help (including links to good sites) would be greatly appreciated! Google didn't help much - maybe Heritage or CAGW??

It is curious that there is no original birth certificate! I can get one at my local county office if necessary - what gives? It doesn't solve our need to live in a nanny state, but it is curious!!
For me, Glenn represents the voices here more than anyone else in the media (except maybe Jim Quinn). I appreciate the balance that Fox has brought to the media, but my loyalty lies with Glenn in the bravery he's shown to air the opinions i've been feeling for quite some time! At this point, if he goes, I go! There is balance, and then there is awareness! Glenn provides the latter and that is what is needed now in this time of growing debt and apathy!!

The media and politicians control too many definitions in our dialogue! Who is rich - someone with a small business that makes $350K in 2008 but that has personal wealth of $500k or someone with $1,000,000,000 in wealth that earns $210k of adjusted gross income? We need to change the definitions in the minds of the public! The wealthy (rich) are those that have accumulated wealth, not necessarily the high income earners! This doesn't mean they should be taxed, but let's identify who they are (Gates, Kennedys, Clintons, Kerrys, Rockefellers, Edwards and Obamas, etc). If they want to TAX THE RICH, let's start with their wealth (including future govt. pension and health benefits)! After that, we'll talk....
