Your "racism" is considered a state of being, Dave. That's why when a white person is discriminated against, it is called "reverse" discrimination. Naturally, all whites simply must be racist, thus, any racism against them is their own racism reflected back upon them. Your "R" word idea is noble but hopeless. The stereotype is just deeply ingrained.

And our question is, where do we draw the line in the sand? The Constitution has already been shredded and we have done little about it. So, where is the line now? At what point have the Progressives "gone too far" and what do we do about it?

I think it's time I unplugged. The only cure for what's going on is a total reboot. No one seems willing to say what must be done and I sure as hell won't be the first. We've crossed the line of no return but we haven't determined where our own line of intolerance is. Good luck, everyone.

Constitutional changes that could help move us in the right direction:

1. Repeal 16th Amendment-income tax
2. Repeal 17th Amendment-direct election of senators
3. Establish fair consumption tax. No other taxes of any kind.
4. Reiterate 2nd Amendment as applying to individuals with respect to defense of life, liberty and property. Inclusive of use against the government.
5. Amendment limiting federal sovereignty to states alone, no individuals. In other words, the federal government can exercise no control over individuals or make no federal laws governing individuals. That's the role of the states. It's legitimate use should only be as national defender and mediator between states. No such thing as interstate issues involving individuals. All crimes occur within the boundaries of some state or other. Crime is a state issue.
6. Amendment making individualism sacrosanct/ group identity cannot be considered in any type of legislative or policy issue. How this could be done, I have no idea. Collectivism must be eliminated somehow.

These are a just a start. I wish it were possible to get rid of political parties but I don't see how.

A note might not be currency, but our notes are backed by the legal tender laws. Ipso facto, it's currency. You cannot refuse dollars in the US. They are legal payment and no court in the land would find in your favor. Dollars may have no more real value than a personal check, but you can't legally refuse them. Of course, they're becoming more and more worthless every time Obama opens his stupid mouth.

They do leave our Constitution alone. Hell, they utterly ignore it! I don't care where you come down on the AIG bonuses issue, but the bill they're working on falls squarely in the ex post facto category. It's unconstitutional and Drudge has a story that says the courts will probably let it stand. We're screwed, shellshocked. Cook your grasshoppers.
