Neither of them is going to catch on, especially with the titles they're releasing at launch. Both companies have spent so much time calling the Wii a toy only to essentially remake it.

It's a ploy to get money, and I don't think it's going to take them as far as they hoped.

I think that until we get something better than HD graphics, we aren't going to see new consoles from anyone any time soon.

Nintendo, maybe, but I think they'll ride the 3DS train for a while before doing it.

Also, this sounds like a party game, if only because it sounds like something you would put into a bowl and serve to guests.

I still can't believe that Nintendo's new toy is the first device in the history of man that uses 3D without glasses. Why the hell was this not around sooner?

From my understanding, there is a layered screen. What I'm assuming is that they have something similar to the lenses in the clear 3D glasses in there somewhere - thus still having it between your eyes and the screen, making it 3D.

This is not a difficult idea to grasp.

While I'm thrilled about the 3DS, support it, and intend upon buying it, it just blows my mind that no one thought of it sooner.
