It was sad to read about the Officer that D ied in the line of duty. it really shows how times are in todays society and the need for us to be better neighbors and help each other out when we can. I truly hope this is heard load and clear at the state level. Our officers need help and we must budget them accordingly. How this is accomplished should be decided by the Officers as they best know what they need and how to address this matter. My thoughts and prayers for the officer and his family., that had to sacrifice himself in the line of duty.
I think that the intentions from all those that are trying to save this house is good. But from what I have seen based on the amount of houses from the Historical Register while doing flood work they are in dire dispare. it taks a lot of money to maintain a house that no one lives in and what I have found is they are yusually used as storage facilities. that is too bad. Now wouldl all that money not have been put to better use by building an affordable appartment complex? $450,000.00 would go a long way toward a real nice building or the money could have been used for updating several old homes for the older folks. Like wheel chair ramps, house modifications, etc. How about a state of the art water park for our children? maybe a new inside Gym??? Just saying.
Is this gas station right down the street from the Convention center and Hotel? Way to go mayor. So you want more of our money to build this in or right next to the hood? You are sad. I am goiog to vote no on Apr 3rd that is for sure. I guess you will have to rely on the hood for a hand out. Oh that right they are all on state aid. hahahah.
