I truly hope this is heard load and clear at the state level. Our officers need help and we must budget them accordingly. But from what I have seen based on the amount of houses from the Historical Register while doing flood work they are in dire dispare. it taks a lot of money to maintain a house that no one lives in and what I have found is they are yusually used as storage facilities. that is too bad. Now wouldl all that money not have been put to better use by building an affordable appartment complex? $450,000.00 would go a long way toward a real nice building or the money could have been used for updating several old homes for the older folks.
