That's the thing though, Lazarus WASN'T there.
Lorenzo only seems to be a max of 50 years old.
Lazarus died 500 years ago ,and I doubt the fall of Eira happend that long ago if lorenzo witnessed it.
It would also explain why lorenzo hates the laconians they destroyed his home, got him blamed for it and now he wants revenge.

Here is a pretty out there theory:
Lorenzo won't die (as soon as the others at least)
the only thing backing it up is this theory is this https://twitter.com/haychelda/status/800489655229... and things like it.
the theory goes that the characters will die from right to left
Evidence for this theory is: leon and vagus almost always being on the very left of the ones they're
levi and sully on the very right of the "bad guy" one
Crass being at the very right of the ones he's in
There are alot of things that argue against this theory though.
But still something to consider
