I should have worded my wish as the Flat Tax - my bad.

The Fair Tax – every worker would pay the same percentage rate (a perfect model is the Holy Bible, which says we should give a tenth to the church. How about 10% across the board?) I believe the only people who should not be held to the 10% formula would be those who are 100% disabled, retired Senior Citizens over the age of 65, and the unemployed; these folks should not be required to pay taxes. And just because someone chooses to hatch a bunch of children does not mean the rest of us should foot the bill. 10% tax no matter if you are single or have eight children like Octomom did. Sorry, you have 'em - YOU support 'em!

To continue my comments about Media Matters, I don't know about you, but I'm getting angry about getting called names. As Obama preached during his campaign: "Don't tell me words don't matter!" Well, the words directed at us are "hate speech" but I guess its ok when it's directed at hard-working everyday citizens like us! Check out what one Eric Boehlert had to say and it isn't nice...here is the link:

Media Matters is definitely an anti-Tea Party site, but I go there to read the latest crap because to stick my head in the sand and ignore it would be foolish. Check out what they are saying now - they are referring to Fox as a "militia media" and we, the tea partiers, are "fringe." And Glenn Beck? They wrote, "Beck and company insist on irresponsibly fanning the militia-type flames of distrust."

Really? I thought Glenn and the rest of Fox news was reporting and participating in our tea parties because a gathering of hundreds of thousands of concerned citizens across the country was front-page news. And Fox News KNEW what kind of treatment we'd get from all other media. And Fox News was 100% right!

Actress and idiot Janeane Garofolo is an ignorant waste of humanity! Garofalo actually called Tea Party-goers "a bunch of teabagging rednecks," adding "this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up."

Oh man, is she way off base. Plus she is judging 18th Century Americans with her 21st Century mind. It is wrong to do so. Our ancestors lived in a much different time. Slavery was acceptable at that time - it was the norm. ALL of the original 13 colonies had slavery, including New York - the biggest slave-holding state of all. BUT, slavery was entrenched in the colonies BEFORE we ever became a country.

But the bottom line is this - we have evolved over the past 300 years. We cannot judge our ancestors, no more than those who will be alive one hundred years from now (if we can SAVE this country) judge as. While I cannot comprehend the 17th Century mindset of owning human beings, and I detest racism of any kind, I am nonetheless proud of my ancestors and my heritage - every bit of it! No shame for then and no shame for now. I am a proud Tea Partier and proud of America and its history!

Indeed, the patriots of 2009, who did nothing more than hold peaceful tea parties across America the Beautiful, will be remembered in history – not as some radical group of right wing nut jobs or homegrown insurgents – but as a country-loving congregation of heroes that ignited a fire that saved America from becoming a memory.
