I totally agree. Charity work can be a great way to get some exposure. The only problem is when you get small organizations asking for pro-bono work. You aren't likely to get the same after effect from that sort of work. But, if it is a organization you feel strongly about it usually feels good to do the work regardless of the outcome.

Its funny you say that. I actually did the exact opposite recently. Went from dual monitors back to just my iMac monitor.

I was feeling overwhelmed with two monitors and having so much going on.

Very cool. �Yeah, we recently found out we are having a boy as well. �I very much a kid at heart. �I have a obsession with toys, comics, cartoons, and other such stuff. �So it will be fun to geek out with the little guy.

You make a really good point. �Asking for specifics is VERY important. �Like you said, �people outside the design community may not know what they are looking for. �When requesting feedback, �always go into it with a specific question in mind, 3 max.

If you ask too many questions, you probably wont get very many answers. �If you dont ask enough questions you might not get the answers you are looking for.

Yeah. �Sometimes it can be so hard to critique yourself. �Sometimes I stare at a design so long i don't even know what to think about it anymore. �If you get to this point, �I have found that just walking away for a while and checking out the design later can do wonders for the critique process.
