I'm not going to judge this episode till I see the first two episodes of season 4, but I am not going to miss a chance to say something about the gowns of the Princesses.

The only possible explanation is that they were designed by Applejack. Seriously, they all look like overdecorated cakes, with the exception of Luna who looks like an overdecorated cake made by a coloblind confectioner.

I guess my expectation were a bit too high, but it was a great episode nonetheless. I love the design of the crystal ponies and the whole Empire. It's also nice that there are no unicorn or pegasus crystal ponies - earth ponies definitely need more love.

And why is Celestia only able to banish things for 1000 years?
