I have shsh saved for 4.0 4.0.2 4.1 4.2.1 apparently.

Now can anyone tell me how to update the software? I only want to go to 4.0.1 cos i dont want to change the BB to the ipad one. I have the old bootrom and previously unlocked with ultrasn0w.

I have tried google and reading other posts but cant figure out where i go to get 4.0.1!!!! Do do it through itunes? I went to try that but it wanted to upgrade me to 4.2?? Do i use ultrasn0w again cos i used that the first time??

Help please!!

Did you try it? I want to upgrade to 4.0.1 because i dont want to go to the ipad baseband but i dont know how?

I previously unlocked with ultrasnow.

Can someone please explain to me . . .

I downloaded Tinyumbrella and ran it but it said no shsh were saved after i had clicked the save shsh button . . . why is this? Am i not doing something correctly?

Thanks for the help! Im the same, 3.1.3 5.12 and i want to go to 4 but am terrified of loosing my unlock! dont really know what im doin so any help is appreciated!!!

If i have previously unlocked with ultrasn0w, can i then use resn0w this time as stated above?

I want to update the itunes on my PC (i think its still on 8. something) but will this affect my Unlocked iphone? I have a 3gs 3.1.3 5.12 unlocked with Ultrasnow?

Yes I would like to know too! I also want to upgrade my Itunes to the lastest version but not sure if i can without locking my 3gs??

Hey guys,

Sorry im such a novice when it comes to this stuff . . .

I have a 3Gs 3.1.3 5.12 which I jailbroke and unlocked with Ultrasnow.
To date I havnt upgraded any futher because of the issues around the battery draining problems - is this still a problem? Or should I try it now?
Also when I open the iTunes on my iPhone, then select 'ringtones' - to try and download some - rather than opening the ringtones section it just goes back to the phone page with my applications on it. Everything else seems to work eg opening the 'music' or 'search' etc. Has anyone else had this?

Does anyone now how to fix it?
