Herding Cats....My heart hurts...but I give up...
I am so glad you have chosen to be here. Our Country has pride over the different beliefs and different origins that call it home. I might not always agree...but I guarantee that I will always listen. I have voted both ways...you can not call me republican or democrat....I only have eyes for right and wrong. I only see my beautiful Country contrasted with the greatness I see in my daughter. I look forward to a hearty debate between you and I. I am sure that you will be "right" just as much as I am. Man.....that makes our Country great!!!
There are people here that will lead us thru pain...and thru greatness. But many have no idea that they are being called. I can tell you....arcangel...i hope you are following...i have an idea. But it is not my face or name that will be etched into history. Someone else is meant to take it and watch my idea fall because it sucks or carry it to greatness. I am not that person. I think the moderators can help us here. There are a lot of topics discussed...what are the top 3? Also, there are al ot of folks commenting....who do you think have leadership qualities?
I will be honest. I live in an area that I thank God that there is a place to come and connect with people that feel and/or think like me. I am alone where I live. But at the same time, the comments, arguments, posts, and ideas come streaming thru here faster than a country girl like me can get ahold. It is like herding cats. I honestly believe that only a few ideals can be dealt with at one time. After that, more will come. I believe, it is time to name "leaders," for lack of a better word, that will "guide" the people's thoughts and take them to Washington. i care not for parties or politics. Only for Right and Wrong.

Y'all! (That is southern for "You All."). It is time for us, those called to do so, to stand up and lead. I know I am here to help....but not to stand up. Come on, West Tennessee and DeSoto County, MS.....am I really by myself????

What would you like to get them on? I am with you...but they were voted in. Would you want someone you voted in to office getting booted because of people like us but on the opposite end? I swear, I am with you....but just t rying to play the democratic devils avocate.

You are right on. I have a calendar that I keep with me at all times. It has my life in it. On the back page, it has all of my Senators and Congressmen listed, along with two phone numbers - one for the office here and the other for the one in Washington. I also receive letters and emails from them and have emailed them myself...often. On top of that, I am a member of a site that automatically emails me the when they have voted and how they have voted. I have thanked them, I have criticized them and I have voiced my opinion on how I think they should vote. I do this for all of them...no matter what the party.
