I would also like to add that there were many black confederate soldiers. You will not hear about them in public schools, but they fought none the less. Not all slaves were treated poorly, many were well cared for. Not every person who owned a slave was an evil person who beat and raped their slaves. I realize it's not popular to teach that today, but you are correct about rewriting history to serve a purpose.

Perhaps Glenn is "aggressive and insulting" about this issue because he's covered it longer and may have more information than you do. I don't really know, but I do think it's a shame that you disagree with him on this one issue and decide you won't watch him anymore. Seems a bit extreme. You can't agree with anyone 100% of the time.
Jean_Chauvin: God gave all of us minds with which to think, analyze, reason and rationalize. We all do that in different ways; we all have different gifts that enable us to communicate with others on different levels. Your views are certainly important to this site. They may not resonate with some, but they will with others. I've replied to a couple of your previous posts and apologize if my comments were offensive or hurtful; they certainly were not intended to be anything but helpful with an attempt at lightening the mood. So let's all take a deep breath and move on. There are far more important issues to be discussed.
Since when is being addressed as "Maam" or "Sir" some sign of disrespect? I suppose when you don't have much else going for you, you have to rely on your "title" to prove you're somebody.
"Common Sense" is just plain ole "walking around sense." Some people have it and alas some do not. It is stating what, for the average person, should be the obvious. For instance not using the blow dryer while in the shower....that's just common sense. For the average person you would think that would be obvious. Unfortunately, there are those who walk among us that well.....these are the people "warning" labels are made for. I know that's an "example" and not an "argument," however, examples are useful in illustrating a point of view. If you are a fan of Glenn Beck, then you will know that he loves to use examples to illustrate the point he is trying to make. Hence the charts, the fish, the juggler, etc. A book of his will be no different. Personally, I like examples, they sometimes help me see things in a different light. I admit I have not yet read Mr. Beck's book, but given your comments, you may be over-thinking this just a bit. I will say this, "If you are reading a book and it's causing your blood pressure to rise and you to throw the book across the room, you may want stop reading it." But that just common sense.
That Guy: After reading many of your comments I believe you have lost the ability to reason. You just seem to want to argue....repeatedly...about the same thing. Take a deep breath.
To That Guy: Wow, that was a stretch. I didn't even remotely say that. YOU put Dr. Tiller under the heading of "innocent," I just clarified that the babies were the only "innocent" ones. I made it very clear that I did NOT condone his being shot. Don't put words in my mouth.
