Oh yeah, I come by it honest...and I'm thankful for all that is so good about such a philosophy!
He he...guess we are the only mother/son team on here discussion theology:)
Yeah, I think I've heard that comparison as well...it really fits seeing as how the disciples remained a bit confused about the Kingly role Jesus would play right up to the point of the ascension!
I agree; that is interesting. I suppose our flesh is always on that quest of trying to make God in our image...and we tend to be pretty happy with the image that is us!
Easy to do because of how widely it is misquoted and how the slight change seems to solve problems we might have with the actual language! In all fairness, I think some change it in an attempt to be careful not to call God an agent of evil in any way, which is of course true...there is no darkness in Him!
Thank-you, my Dear. I have been looking forward to studying and writing on the life of Joseph and am actually working some more on it at the moment! He is such a "diamond in the rough" when it comes to the book of Genesis, and we have so much to learn from his life. I'm glad that God has allowed us to walk together through hardships (albeit minor) together and continue to see His grace on the other side:)
Thanks Curtis! This little compilation was one that I put together several years ago and has been a helpful tool for me to think through the Christmas story and really just Christ in general. Hope your Christmas was a wonderful one of joy and hope this year!

So intensely helpful and insightful. I actually have met Piper on two...well, 1 1/2 occasions (only actually talked to him once for about 30 seconds) and I pretty much babbled like an idiot! Seems God has given him an ability to keep me humble whether through the computer screen or while shaking his hand! I'll be sure to step in line behind you, Adelia, to say hello again in heaven:) Thanks for sharing, Wade!
Thanks for these words, Cheryl! Great to have another post from you:)
Good stuff, Wade. A friend and I were actually talking about how to pray "strategically" in a way that honors the Lord and trusts Him with the results; this post was helpful in my continuing thoughts about such.
