"Secondly, you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to dress like a sperm. DIYers wear skinny jeans and shirts and go just as fast."

This is my favorite trail running shoe. I like how the shoe has a low profile. The upper is also note-worthy as it offers a good amount of stability that you wont find in a normal running shoe.

Great tips! It has been really hot the past couple weeks in Southern California and these tips definitely come in handy.

Hey Kurt,

Thanks for the comment. What I usually tell people in the shop is, "If a shoe isn't giving you any problems, stick with it." So I would recommend going back to the Air Max 180's. Since both of these shoes are classified as Neutral shoes, I don't think an insert would benefit you UNLESS you needed stability.

I recommend going to a specialty running store such as Fleet Feet or The San Diego Running Institute (if you are in the San Diego area) and have a proper fitting performed.

Best of luck,

Jay

Hi Gina,

I would start with this article.
http://www.amateurendurance.com/7/injury-preventi...

That will give you general info about pronation and shoe selection. If you are in the Southern California, you can stop by the San Diego Running Institute and they can give you a lot of information/analysis of your feet.

If you have specific questions, you can email me. jp@sdri.net
