So, you're saying, you hope that less than 5% of movies that come out every year match up to Shakespeare?

A January release? Is that a good month to release this?

true, but that just makes the movie mediocre at best.

"When characters come to blows, the fight sequences are well-choreographed and the blood and guts on the screen don’t bother me the way it does some."
Man, Watchmen isn't about violent, well-choreographed, blood & guts fight sequences. Snyder, god bless him and all, had no clue how to film this story, so he went back to what he knows best and cranked everything up to 11 and went with it.
I can't believe fans of the comic are fans of this film. It just tells me that you got nothing from the comic except bragging rights to your friends that you read the greatest graphic novel of all time.
I can't wait for watchmen week to be over.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'd rather have stories rooted in the creator's personal lives and imaginations then by forcing themselves to write something they're not personally invested in. That'll only create contrived characters and most likely bad movies.
And I agree with Tercotta below, most of the Pixar movies are directed and written by men, thus the supposed male-slant. If Pixar was created by women, and all 9 or so films that have come out from there were made by woman, there would be a female-slant, but I'm sure no one will give a damn about this gender slant. If they're good movies, great! I'm satisfied. If they're not, then I wouldn't care and just move on and watch the good movies.
Feminists are just viewing everything with an extreme slant that it blinds them from the bigger picture: Hollywood is a male dominated industry like most industries in the world. This male-slant is inevitable. Now, if there was a female dominated animation studio that produced great memorable movies, I'm all for that! Even if they treated their men characters like shit, I wouldn't give a fuck. Woody, Nemo, Wall-e, etc are just good characters that happen to be male. Doesn't mean only good characters are male.
I'm so tired of the narrow-focused, extreme-minded people who just attack because the 1% of the world they choose to see doesn't match up to their view of the world. There's still that 99% that exists.
