Mind you. I believe it's a disgrace that a player like Xavi may finish his career without one. Maybe if Spain defends it's title?

That's also why people whine about refrees all the time- because they don't know the rules themselves.
I am not entirely agreeing wiyth Maxmaxmaz, because the amount of decissions going Real's way is ridiculous- but he is right to point out that we ALSO benefited, that we are not angels ourselves and...
...the last thing. I know losing hurts but it sends a really pathetic image when we were all "we don't talk about referees" when we were winning and now, when we are not- its "conspiracy!".
Barca fans (some of you, anyway)- grow a pair and take it on a chin. Some of us survived as fans a Gaspart era. So losing one title in a season is not the end of the world. Referees make mistakes but last year we were winning games 4:0, 5:0. Or two years ago. Or three. We don't do that any more. And it's not because of the referees. We don't take as many shots as before. We don't control the game the game the same way as before. We are not as focused as before. Pique has no idea what's going on around him, for instance. Physically we're CRAP, slow, sluggish. Few players are only exceptions that prove the rule. Maybe the squad is too thin. Maybe the injuries hit us really hard. Maybe it's worth analyzing all those things, failed experiments with 3-4-3 against Valencia or Sevilla? I don't know. But if we analyze those things- we may get an answer. If Pep foocused on referees as you all seem to indicate- we won't win anything for the next few years...
Three years ago Barca was 3:0 by half time in almost every single game. After having at least 10-12 good, clear chances on goal. We don't any more. And that's why we are 10 points behind Madrid. Because they keep doing what they were doing a year ago, two years ago, three years ago. Nothing more. Only we are not doing our part. Maxis right- they are giving their best in every other game. We seem to think that if we beat them twice, it's six points so we are safe. And- surprise, surprise- it's not.
When a team attacks constantly and creates chance after chance after chance- this makes the referees job a much harder one. By simply creating more chances you also create more chances for the referee to make a mistake. It's simple probability. You caonstantly throw a ball into a penalty area, there may be a situation when a defender panics or when referee sees something wong- and it's a call going your way.
I have never, NEVER seen a penatly given to a team that passes the ball between it's central defenders. It's our own fault that we don't create as many chances. The referee can buckle down once or twice- not 5-6 times. Just by creating more chances we would provoke penalties, mistakes, goals, whatever. But we rather pass the ball pointlessly sideways. What we are playing at the very moment is not Barca's philosophy. It's its caricature. The goal is on the end of the field, not on the side. We create chances- goals will come. Penalties will come. Referee mistakes will come. But we have to give a chance to referee to make a mistake. Same chance to a defender. We don't make as many runs as before. We do them- but not enough. Three years ago we had three forwards- Eto'o, Henry, Messi. now we play with Messi, Alexis and... Cuenca? Tello? I am a huge fan of Tello's talent but don't tell me there is no difference. Messi is constantly playing as a midfielder anyway (god knows what for) so it's Alexis, Fabregas (who is not a striker and never will be one) and Cuenca/Tello. Pedro is out of form, Villa is injured, trying to put Alves or Adriano there is pointless and counterproductive. At the same time Real have Ronaldo (who even started doing something that Messi STOPPED DOING, which is trying to get a ball back when he loses it), Benzema (in-form), Higuain (always a danger), Di Maria (all his diving aside, probably the most creative Real player), Ozil (he was amazing during the last Classico at Camp Nou(, Callejon (scoring goals for fun and steaming with the ambition that our players could use). They have a world class squad. We are a hospital. They keep playing same thing they played under Pellegrini- winning against all minnows. We stopped doing this. Hence the 10 point difference.

Can't wait to see Montoya playing more often. I hope young Grimaldo will be progressing as well as he did so far.

And Cuenca had 7- for what exactly? 5 would be too much, he had no influence on the game whatsoever. The difference between those two platers was inredible- and yet one gets 7 and the other gets 7,5.
Joke.

Although it was very nice to see Fabregas having a good game again. But this is where needs to be- more in midfield than in attack.
Tello is head and shouldrs above Cuenca who has no influence on the game whatsoever. He had 2 o 3 good games and IMO was promoted too quickly. Jeffren was actually much better than Cuenc, judging by last few games. A t this moment Tello is in much better form.

He was probably the worst on the field. His passes were all over the place. He was good in getting the ball back- but was the main reason we were losing it in the first place.
