Kipper I think that is a great name for a cat - any special reason ? I know you dont like big ( large things ) whales etc. so ja Kipper sort of sits well when you call him/her.

Here in Africa we have the Gaboon adder that inhabits rain forests, they are a striking colour of purple and dark brown.
They seem to be seen as sluggish by their prey - but when they get to close the strike is lightning fast and they are able to strike in all directions.

You forgot the " wire car "it used to be made of " blou draad " a whole car built out of wire and the wheeles were nugget shoe polish tins, and you could steer it via a wire steering wheel connected to the front axle, all made with wire.
My grandparents had a farm between Putfontain and Babsfontain many moons ago and in our holidays from school we had hours of fun with these contraptions.
