Mark Watches : Mark Watches 'Veronica Mars': S04E08 - Years, Continents, Bloodshed

I am so glad that I didn't have a super deep attachment to this show because this ending felt like such a betrayal. If you are showing a character coming to grips with and managing their mental health it should not be so effing depressing for the viewer. I can honestly say this episode negatively affected the rest of my day after I watched it; I had to immediately put on something else to distract myself.

In my part of PA they would stock the Entenmann's in a separate section from all the other goodies so maybe that is how Mark's stores do it. Do y'all have Tastycakes up there? I don't know how far their range is.

Unfortunately a wizard's polite request has the power of the universe behind it so I doubt good manners can fix an existing problem for your washer. But I have noticed that people who are nicer to machines tend to have less problems (though sometimes the machine is rude first). In my case machines like me but it doesn't keep them from breaking down. They just last longer than average.

I miss math. I spent the past four year outside the technical field and I am so happy to be back to playing with numbers. I had an English teacher who ruined Hamlet for me though. We never even read the play but we watched three different versions in movie form without any lessons planned around them.

I will fight you on Kix. They are simple but they've got that hint of flavor that makes them good both with and without milk. They were a staple for me in college and probably kept me alive during my week long stomach bug.

As a kid I asked my mom for Cookie Crisp and always was disappointed after the first bowl and then I had to eventually finish the box. After a few month I would ask again cause maybe this time it would be better. Cookies wouldn't lie to me.

Unless you are having a party there isn't really much for Christians do on Christmas day outside of church and maybe a nice dinner. Going to the movies is a fun thing to do while still being chill enough for Jesus' birthday. That my best guess anyway. My siblings and I go because we wanted to see Les Mis (which came out Christmas day) and then something else we agreed on came out the next year and it became a tradition.

Outside of all of the stresses teenagers have to deal with their brains are still developing and messy. I don't think even a mature teen like Nita can be expected to overcome the extra anxieties and confusion that comes along with that.

My parents have their own authority problems but they never resorted to blackmailing me to drive my siblings around and always framed it in a way that told me I could say no. It could be like a parent making driving others a condition for using the car but, in this situation he is saying she can't go do her job, which is Tom and Carl's jurisdiction.

I'm jealous. My world history teacher made us memorize countries and capitals for every continent and fill out a map for the the test with the proper location. And I didn't even retain the information for more than the test so its no good to me now.

That's interesting because I think I was expecting much worse when I started reading it and was surprised to find that it was bearable for me. I do second watching the John Carter movie though. I loved it and its why I picked up the book.

I don't know, Wizard of Oz seems a bit on the nose to me; a movie about being dropped, unprepared, into an alien landscape (and finding out that home is better)? Though, I agree that if you are introducing someone to movie-making than WoO is a great choice. You set me thinking about other good movies though. It's difficult, a lot of movies depend on a more-than basic understanding of our culture.
