Your post brought me to tears... your doctor's office breakdown... and your strength for you son just days after major surgery. You have strength Mama... more strength than you'll ever know. I hope your children know what you went through for them... how HUGE your love is for them. They are incredibly lucky to spend their childhood with you. I too had an emergency c-section after 25 hrs of unmedicated labour, 4.5 hrs of pushing, a vacuum, then a c-section. They think that my "bicornuate" uterus (heart shaped) kept him from getting into position. He was trying to come out with his forehead. They couldn't get him out... I had a HUGE incision. When they finally did pull our boy from my body - he had passed out from the stress. I have been advised that a VBAC would be "unwise". I can't help but think I've missed out. I don't know if I could go through all of that, or put another baby through it all just to satisfy my urning for a "natural" birth. So, as I get closer to the day that we throw out the "pills"... I'm reminded of what I feel I missed.
